Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s super PAC Majority PAC aired an ad recently, attacking Nevada Republican Senate candidate Adam Laxalt and promoting Democratic candidate Catherine Cortez Masto.

The ad, pulled by KTVN 2 News for misinformation, claimed Laxalt opposed the child tax credit, lowering prescription drug costs and “relief” for the Nevada economy, Politico reported Oct. 27.

Counsel for the TV station stated the ad will be pulled "unless new documentation or information comes in that changes the course of our decision," the article said.

Other Nevada stations are still airing the ad.

“Chuck Schumer is so desperate to save Catherine Cortez Masto that he's attacking me for her own failures,” Laxalt said in a statement reported by Townhall.

Laxalt said the decision to pull the ad is a blow to the Senate Majority’s PAC credibility.

“This shows that she and Schumer will say anything to win this race, no matter if it aligns with the facts or not and proves to Nevadians that they can't trust their words,” Laxalt said in the release.

Laxalt was America’s youngest Attorney General while in office in Nevada. He has been endorsed by leading Republican figures — including former President Donald Trump, Sens. Tom Cotton and Ted Cruz and Gov. Ron DeSantis — to replace Cortez Masto in Nevada’s Senate delegation.

Following the airing of the ad, National Senate Rrepublican Committee Chairman Rick Scott (R-FL), wrote a memo to stations airing the ad refuting the information and threatening legal action if if was not removed.

A recent Nevada Independent poll shows that Cortez Masto has a narrow edge, leading 45.5% to 41.2% a year ahead of the midterms, the Washington Examiner reported.
