7.1% of citizens in Nevada unemployed in 2021

Nevada's unemployment rate hit 7.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That's 109,512 people out of the 3,059,238 living in Nevada at the time, according to data U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26, 2023.

The unemployment rate in Nevada has increased compared to the 6.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Nevada was greater than the national unemployment rate of 5.5%.

Of the 1,440,085 people who had a job during that time, 10,638 were employed in the Armed Forces and 1,429,447 belonged to the civilian labor force.
