Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) released the following statement on her vote to prevent a U.S. default.

“I was proud to join my colleagues in a bipartisan vote to raise the debt limit, reduce our deficit, and protect vital programs for Nevada families, veterans, and seniors. This deal is a good compromise and I’m glad we’ve taken default off the table by sending this to the President’s desk.”
