Residents of Nevada can now download a free digital discount card to receive a discount when buying their medications.

ArrayRx will give residents the ability to obtain up to 80% on their medications, according to a news release by the Nevada government.

“Prescription medications can get very expensive – too expensive. This program will help Nevadans keep more money in their pockets,” said Gov. Steve Sisolak (D-NV). “Taking care of yourself and prioritizing your health shouldn’t leave you bankrupt – and I will never stop in my mission to bring more affordable health care solutions to Nevadans. I’m so proud of the commitment across our State to get this program up and running, as well as our interstate partnerships all dedicated to addressing high drug costs.”

Sisolak announced earlier this year that Nevada would join Washington and Oregon in introducing the statewide drug discount card to reduce the price of prescription medication for residents.

According to Senator Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro (D-Las Vegas): "This is a team effort, and it really does take a community to be able to deliver to the folks we represent and to make sure that people can live here, work here and raise their families here. This ArrayRX digital card is another tool in our toolbox to ensure that Nevadans can continue to afford the healthcare they need and to take care of their families.”

Any resident of the state is eligible to enroll in the program online, which should take less than five minutes.

According to Beth Slamowitz, PharmD, Senior Policy Advisor on Pharmacy for the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services: “We hope this free, easy to join program will be a benefit to Nevadans. All FDA-approved prescriptions are eligible for discounts, and we encourage families to enroll every member for maximum savings. All Nevadans are eligible to join, but each must have their own digital ArrayRx Discount Card.”
