According to a press release, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and First Lady Kathy Sisolak took their Moderna COVID-19 booster shot at the Southern Nevada Health District on May 24. The governor’s first shot was the Janssen jab, or J&J shot.

“While the COVID-19 State of Emergency has ended in Nevada, it’s still important to do our part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19,” said Sisolak. “Today, Kathy and I were proud to get our second booster doses to help keep ourselves and our loved ones healthy as summer celebrations and holidays begin.”

The Governor and First Lady are eligible for their second booster because of their age. Nevadans can find vaccine information, availability, and appointments online or by calling the Nevada COVID-19 hotline at 800-401-0946.
