City of Sparks recently issued the following announcement.
Beginning Monday, April 4, 2022, the City of Sparks begins two projects along the Sparks Marina walking path.
On the south side, adjacent to the dog park, there will be construction activity on the pedestrian path to accommodate the installation of a new Sparks Marina Pet Memorial Project. The memorial is for pet owners to honor lost pets by attaching collars and tags to a newly installed art structure. The project is estimated to be completed by April 8 with a dedication event scheduled for April 18.
The other section is on the east side of the Sparks Marina behind the Hampton Inn and Suites. As repairs are made, path users will be detoured around the construction zone through the parking area behind the Hampton Inn and Suites and across Harbour Cove Court. The path closure and detours are expected to be in place for approximately one week.
