Masks are once again required indoors in all but three Nevada counties, the Nevada Appeal reported.

Only Eureka, Story and White Pine counties are not required by the state to mandate masks in indoor public settings for those people who are  vaccinated, the story said.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends everyone, including the fully vaccinated, wear masks in public indoor settings in all the other counties in the state, according to the Nevada Appeal.

"So the vaccine doesn’t stop the spread, cloth masks don’t stop the spread, and COVID+ medical professionals can render services in ICU’s and hospitals across America," tweeted Sigal Chattah, a Republican candidate for Nevada attorney general. "Follow the science straight to multi million dollar jury verdicts."

In order to avoid requiring masks indoors, counties have to remain at low or moderate risk of transmission for two weeks in a row, the Nevada Appeal reported.

Low risk is less than 10 new cases of the virus per 100,000 persons in the past week and less than 5% positive tests. Moderate risk is between 10 and less than 50 new cases per 100,000 and less than 8% positive tests, the Nevada Appeal reported.

However, some school districts and local governments have more restrictive mask requirements than the state, the story said.
