The Nevada Wolf Pack recently won in a comeback victory against the California Golden Bears 22-17 in the football season non-conference opener.
This is Nevada’s third straight victory over California since 2010, according to Sports Illustrated. California hasn't won against the Nevada since 1996.

California started strong using its robust running game to build a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, but after that was only able to get a single field goal with 12:59 remaining in the game's final quarter, according to National Football Post.
Carson Strong passed 312 yards and two touchdowns, one in the second quarter to Romeo Doubs and one in the third quarter to Elijah Cooks, and is currently the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year, National Football Post reported. Strong finished the game 22-for-39 with only one interception and Tory Horton gaining 94 yards on three catches.
Brandon Talton contributed 44-, 35- and 49-yard field goals to the final score.
The game was played at Memorial Stadium with fans in attendance for the first time in 658 days.
