Of the $9.5 billion in taxes collected by Nevada in 2020, $5.5 billion came from general sales and gross receipts taxes, a 0.4 percent decrease from the previous year, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Annual Survey of State Government Tax Collections (STC).
