FOIA Request Sent to Carson City Regarding Absentee Ballots Information for 2024 General Election on September 25, 2024

FOIA Request to Carson City Regarding Detailed Voter and Absentee Ballot Information for the Upcoming November 5, 2024 General Election was submitted on September 25, 2024.

We at Silver State Times have formally requested comprehensive records under the Nevada Open Records Act § 239 et seq. This request is focused on obtaining detailed information about absentee ballots, early voting, overseas and military votes, and any other ballots that were sent out to voters for the upcoming general election.

The fields being requested include Voter ID, Registration Date, Age/Date of Birth, Full Name (including middle name and suffix), Registration Status and Reason, County of registration, Precinct, Address (including city and state), Contact details (phone number and email address), Party Affiliation, Absentee Status, Ballot ID, Election Date for ballots sent out.

Further information sought includes the type of ballot request (Absentee, Mail-In, Early Voting or Overseas etc.), the date when the ballot was requested and sent out by the county's election office as well as when it was returned by the voter. The status of each ballot (whether it was accepted or rejected) is also part of this comprehensive request.
