Summer roadwork is ahead. Drive safe, DC

Construction%2520%25281%2529

County of Douglas recently issued the following announcement.

When you roll up to a work zone, it’s natural to feel a little frustrated. No one likes unexpected delays. Annual summer roadwork begins soon, and we want everyone safe and informed.

Well-maintained roads are safer and last longer. Every year, Douglas County plans for maintenance on County streets, including residential roads and main thoroughfares. Get details on this year’s projects by visiting DouglasRoadWork.com.

Due to temperature requirements for road materials, roadwork usually occurs between May and October in Colorado.

Our crews are proud to do this work for our citizens each year. Watch this video of 6-year-old Elijah helping our crews.

Sometimes, though, working in a construction zone can be a harrowing experience for our crews. Please help keep our workers safe. Slow down. Drop the distraction.
