Nevada isn’t among the states receiving a fourth stimulus check, but child care providers can get assistance through the American Rescue Plan Act, which deliveries economic aid to families impacted by the pandemic.
"American Rescue Plan Act funds are available for Nevada child care providers," Nevada’s Department of Health and Human Services tweeted.
The tweet also contained the deadline (Feb. 28, 2022) for licensed before- and after-school providers and a website (NevadaChildCare.org) to apply for the funds.
The American Rescue Plan Act "will change the course of the pandemic and deliver immediate relief for American workers," according to a release from the White House. "The plan will build a bridge to an equitable economic recovery and immediately reduce child poverty."
Like the rest of the nation, many residents in Nevada remain in need of financial support to get through the pandemic.
Stimulus checks have aided of millions of people in the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic, but state governments are now responsible for providing their citizens financial aid. Some states are offering a fourth stimulus check while other states have alternative options.
Some states have already sent out fourth stimulus checks. Other states waiting for upcoming legislative sessions to pass bills that will help Americans.
