Gov. Steve Sisolak announced on Jan. 13 that a total of 588,216 Flexflow COVID-19 Antigen home tests are on their way to Nevada and should be available by the end of this month.

"Through this surge due to the omicron variant, we have seen a matching surge in demand for COVID-19 testing," Sisolak said in a release from his office. "I've been working with the team at the State level to ensure we are doing all we can to meet this demand for testing and to build a more sustainable testing model."

Sisolak announced that the test kits will be available to those in high-need communities.

"The order is being covered by federal COVID relief funding," Sisolak said. "I've asked the shipment and delivery of these tests to be as fast-tracked as possible to meet the current need."

The governor urged everyone in Nevada who is sick to get tested and stay at home. He urged the citizens to get vaccinated if they haven't done so and check if they are eligible for booster doses. Vaccination clinics are located throughout Nevada, and you can find the clinic nearest to your location at NVCOVIDFighter.org.
