The rising cost of inflation is impacting the polling of Democratic officials in the state, along with the rest of the county.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the Nevada area saw prices surge between 7% and 7.5%, which marked the biggest rise in the country. The news outlet stated that the culprit, as with the 1970s inflation, was government spending.

President Joe Biden currently has an approval rating of 33% among state residents, which is 10 points below the national average, according to Daily Wire.

American Action Network reported that the Tax Policy Center found the Build Back Better plan will increase taxes up to 30% of working-class families, however, Rep. Susie Lee (D-NV) refuted the claim and has advocated for the bill.

Low- to middle-income households would pay an extra $100 or less and those making $200,000 to $500,000 would be taxed an extra sum of roughly $230, according to the New York Post.

A Morning Consult/Politico poll revealed that 60% of people surveyed are “very concerned” about inflation, 27% are “somewhat concerned” and just 3% are not concerned at all with those who identified as Republicans more likely to be concerned, at 93%, however 83% of Democrats also had reservations.

“Forget politics — it’s not an ideal scenario if you can’t afford a turkey or can’t find your canned pumpkin at the grocery store this year,” tenured Democratic strategist Adrienne Elrod said, according to Morning Consult.

Approximately 60% of Americans anticipate prices will increase when it comes to utility and energy bills, Morning Consult reported.

Recent polls signaled that the Democratic chances of winning the 2022 elections were being hurt by inflation, with 51% of voters signaling that they would vote for a Republican in their district and just 41% would support a Democrat. That is the largest margin since 1981, according to ABC News.
