Just hours after filing their appeal to the Supreme Court, Nevada’s GOP has been left with nothing but disappointment after the judge refused to nullify the state’s presidential election results in which Joe Biden was declared winner.
In a statement, the Nevada GOP listed their grievances which included denial of appellate rights to orally argue in court, and rushed judgement given without looking thoroughly at evidence.
“When we presented compelling evidence in court last week, the court quickly shrugged it off and rubber stamped the fraudulent result without due consideration or even hearing directly from witnesses. We then immediately appealed to the Supreme Court of Nevada. Tonight, just hours later, the NV Supreme Court rushed to judgment in the same flawed manner, failing to adequately consider thousands of pages of critical important evidence. We were not afforded an opportunity to write our brief or argue the case in front of the Supreme Court. Full denial of legitimate due process and appellate rights is truly unprecedented, shocking and extraordinary,” the statement read.
In their appeal, the attorneys were seeking to review last week's judgement by the District Court to ensure election integrity. They claimed to have substantial evidence of illegal and improper ballots that were cast and counted in the election.
The Republicans wanted to expedite their appeal before Dec. 14 when Nevada sends its six electoral votes to the U.S Electoral College.
