UNLV Athletics has received a $10 million commitment from William S. Boyd and Judy Boyd to create an endowment focused on student-athlete nutrition. This marks the largest endowment in the history of UNLV Athletics.

The new fund is intended to support the nutritional needs of student athletes, which play a key role in their performance, recovery, and overall health. The gift builds on ongoing support from the Boyd family for university athletics.

“This is the largest endowment in UNLV Athletics history and a continuation of consistent support from the Boyd family. Nutrition is essential to performance, recovery, and overall well-being for student athletes and the new endowment will ensure that they have the resources to thrive at the highest level,” according to UNLV Athletics.

The announcement comes as part of UNLV Athletics’ “Rebel Up” capital campaign, which has so far brought in more than $22 million through cash donations and commitments.
