The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Public Health has secured nearly $1.9 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to support its ongoing efforts with the Nevada Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program. This initiative is conducted in partnership with the Southern Nevada Health District.

The program aims to reduce lead poisoning among children through early detection and response, as well as by providing education, implementing policy solutions, and using data-driven approaches.

This funding will help maintain and expand services that identify and address lead exposure risks for children in Nevada.
