UNLV and Terbine have announced a partnership to create an agentic artificial intelligence system intended to improve collaboration among autonomous machines within supply chain logistics. The project will leverage UNLV’s Advanced Engineering Building, which houses a drone aviary with multiple drones of different sizes, launch pads, and robust communication systems. In addition to indoor resources, the university will make available outdoor locations throughout Southern Nevada for testing land, air, and marine vehicles.
The collaboration seeks to securely coordinate large numbers of autonomous machines with the goal of making supply chains more adaptive and intelligent.
“Together, UNLV and Terbine aim to enable the secure coordination of potentially millions of autonomous machines to transform fragmented supply chains into an adaptive, intelligent ecosystem,” according to a statement from the partners.
