The first batch of at-home COVID-19 tests secured by Gov. Steve Sisolak have arrived in Nevada, the governor’s office said in a news release.

“Testing is so important and if you are not feeling well, I encourage you to utilize these at-home tests so you know your status to protect yourself, your family and your community,” the governor said in the statement. “Thank you to all of our partners for joining in this effort and everyone who worked to bring these tests to Nevada communities.”

The state’s Division of Welfare and Supportive Services received a small delivery of tests, which will be available for pickup. More are on the way, the governor’s office said. Citizens can obtain the Flowflex COVID-19 antigen at-home tests through community partners. You can find a list of pickup locations at https://nvhealthresponse.nv.gov/find-covid-19-testing-in-nevada/.

The state used federal funds to order nearly 600,000 tests, the release said. It’s part of the state’s effort to make testing more convenient and accessible, the governor said.

There is also a federal program that provides up to four tests per household sent to your home, the governor said.

“These two complementary programs should ensure that Nevadans have a free and accessible supply of at-home kits available to them when the need arises,” the release said.
