Carson City recently issued the following announcement.

Lone Mountain Cemetery construction work will begin mid to late January 2022 and continue through May 2022, to renovate the cemetery’s irrigation system. The project goal is to increase the efficiency and capacity of the irrigation system, reduce daytime watering and water usage. The project will replace irrigation lines, electrical components, valves, and other critical irrigation infrastructure.

Visitors are to utilize caution and watch for construction equipment and workers. Sections of internal roads may be closed while work is underway. For public safety, avoid these areas whenever possible by using alternate routes.

Burials at the cemetery will be minimally impacted during this period of construction.
