The Nevada War Room announced that the Clark County School District’s (CCSD) graduation rate rose faster than the state average in 2025 under Governor Joe Lombardo.

The CCSD, the fifth-largest school district in the United States, serves over 300,000 students in southern Nevada. Graduation rates have been a focal point of policy under Governor Lombardo, who has emphasized expanding technical education, workforce readiness, and parental involvement in K–12 schools. According to data released by the state superintendent for 2025, CCSD’s graduation rate increased more rapidly than the overall state average, reflecting improvements in student retention and completion. The Nevada War Room credited Lombardo’s education initiatives for driving progress within the district.

According to Nevada Department of Education data, the statewide graduation rate reached 83.7% in 2025, while CCSD reported a 1.9 percentage point increase to 84.6%. This growth outpaced state trends for the first time in four years, reversing earlier declines linked to absenteeism and resource gaps. Education officials attributed these gains to targeted intervention programs, expanded credit recovery options, and career and technical education tracks introduced since 2023.

Nationwide data from the National Center for Education Statistics indicated that the U.S. high school graduation rate stood at 86.5% in 2024. Although Nevada’s rate is slightly below this national average, it represents one of the largest improvements among western states over the past decade. Federal data also shows that Hispanic and low-income students in Nevada have narrowed graduation gaps by approximately five percentage points since 2018.

Nevada War Room operates as Better Nevada PAC (Political Action Committee), supporting conservative leadership and policy initiatives within the state. The organization promotes Governor Lombardo’s agenda on education reform, economic growth, and public safety through issue advocacy, digital campaigns, and legislative communications aimed at advancing right-leaning policy goals.
