The Nevada War Room has raised concerns regarding state Attorney General Aaron D. Ford’s frequent out-of-state travel, suggesting that it may be affecting his official responsibilities.
According to the Nevada War Room, a political action committee (PAC) dedicated to state-level accountability, Ford has been criticized for what they describe as mismanagement and lack of transparency. The PAC, which often targets Democratic officeholders, alleges that Ford’s travel is excessive and reflects questionable priorities. Reports from conservative-leaning outlets have indicated that Ford attended events associated with the Clinton Foundation while receiving his taxpayer-funded salary. This critique highlights ongoing partisan scrutiny of Ford’s activities and the use of state resources for engagements outside Nevada.
Public records referenced by the Washington Free Beacon indicate that Ford spent approximately 137 days out of state in 2024, attending conferences and political events. These records also mention his participation in a Clinton Foundation program on “Messaging and Narrative Strategy,” an event not previously disclosed in public schedules.
The Nevada Department of Administration reports that the attorney general’s annual salary is about $160,000, making him one of the highest-paid officials in the state. In comparison, governors from similarly sized states like New Mexico and Utah reportedly have fewer travel days and more consistent in-state work attendance.
The Nevada War Room operates under Better Nevada PAC, a Republican-aligned communications and research group focused on exposing perceived ethical and policy failures among Nevada Democrats. Based in Las Vegas, this PAC advocates for government accountability, fiscal restraint, and conservative leadership through social media engagement, press outreach, and policy analysis to influence public narratives regarding transparency and performance of elected officials.
