Of the 32,408 students who took part in the CCR, 54.8% did not meet the testing standard, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

More specifically, there were 17,760 students that did not pass the test, while 14,648 succeeded.

The number of Nevada students who failed their ELA assessments rose by 12.9% from the previous school year.

Statewide, Eureka County registered the highest success rate in the ELA portion of the CCR, with 70.6% of its students passing the test. Meanwhile, Pershing County schools had the weakest performance, with 68.3% of students not meeting the test standards.

The College and Career Readiness Test is given to students in Grade 11 competence test for the higher standards and difficulties of college and post-secondary learning. Scores on the CCR don’t influence if a student graduates on time.

In Nevada, 26% of students passed the math competence test and 42% of children met the reading competence standard.

In comparison to the national average of 90%, Nevada has the fortieth-largest educational system in the country, with 94% of all K–12 students receiving their education in public institutions.
