Nevada Mining Association (NVMA) has announced the postponement of its 2021 convention due to the ongoing Caldor Fire in Northern California. The event was initially scheduled for September 8-11, 2021, in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

The decision comes as a result of evacuations and hazardous air quality caused by the fire in El Dorado National Forest. “Your health and safety is our top priority,” stated NVMA in their communication to members and friends.

The organization plans to reschedule the convention and will provide updates to participants and sponsors regarding new dates. All existing registrations and sponsorships will be honored at the future event.

“We appreciate your partnership and continued support,” NVMA expressed in their message. Attendees are encouraged to join an alternative event from September 3-5 at Lake Tahoe.
