There were 26,798 Asian students enrolled in Nevada schools in the 2023-24 school year, 0.6% more than the previous year, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

Data showed that Nevada welcomed a total of 479,578 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 5.6% of the total enrollment, to be the third least represented ethnic group in the state.

Among the 721 schools in Nevada, Desert Oasis High School recorded the largest enrollment of Asian students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 531 students.

Enrollment in Nevada public schools has dropped nearly nearly 2% in the last four years.

Nevertheless, Nevada has roughly one teacher for every 21 students, well above the national average of one teacher for every 16 students. A higher student-to-teacher ratio has been found to negatively impact students’ school performance.
