The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has announced upcoming overnight lane reductions on Interstate 215 (I-215) as part of a pavement preservation project. This initiative aims to enhance nearly four miles of I-215 between the I-15 interchange and Windmill Lane. The project will involve milling and paving work, structural repairs, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements, and upgrades to signals, lighting, and the intelligent transportation system (ITS). Construction is expected to be completed by winter 2025, pending weather and field conditions.
From Sunday, June 15 to Thursday, June 19, eastbound I-215 will be reduced to two lanes from Valley View Blvd to Windmill Ave nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., with further reduction to one lane from midnight to 4 a.m. Westbound I-215 will experience similar reductions from Windmill Ave to Valley View Blvd during the same time frame.
Additionally, the Las Vegas Blvd/George Crockett Rd on-ramp to eastbound I-215 will be closed nightly from June 15 to June 17. From June 15 to June 18, the eastbound I-215 off-ramp to northbound State Route 171 (Harry Reid Airport Connector) will be reduced to one lane. Further lane reductions on eastbound off-ramps at Warm Springs Rd and Windmill Ln are scheduled from June 16 to June 19.
