The Nevada Department of Transportation announced on March 25 that motorists should expect continued lane restrictions for its Pavement Preservation Project on U.S. 95 in Clark County, which aims to improve roadway conditions south of Boulder City.
The project covers approximately 17 miles of U.S. 95, stretching from about seven miles north of Nelson Road to nearly three miles south of the Interstate 11 junction, between mileposts 37.85 and 55.15. Work includes milling and resurfacing the roadway, repairing damaged pavement, updating striping and signage, upgrading drainage and lighting, and installing tortoise fencing. The department said that right lane and shoulder closures will be in effect around the clock from Thursday, March 26 through Monday, April 6 on both northbound and southbound U.S. 95 between milepost 37.5 and milepost 44 near Eldorado Valley Drive.
“Motorists should use caution while traveling through work zones, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other factors,” according to the Nevada Department of Transportation.
