A Las Vegas man has been sentenced to 130 months in federal prison for his role in distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl, according to an announcement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Nevada. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Cristina D. Silva, who also ordered five years of supervised release following the prison term.
Court documents show that Richard Gleason conspired with others to distribute illegal drugs between January 10, 2023, and February 28, 2023. During this period, Gleason sold about 10.5 grams of fentanyl—equivalent to roughly 100 pills—and more than six pounds (2,724.6 grams) of methamphetamine in Las Vegas.
In June 2025, Gleason pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance involving both methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Acting United States Attorney Sigal Chattah for the District of Nevada and Deputy Special Agent in Charge Anthony Chrysanthis for DEA’s Los Angeles Division announced the sentencing. The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and prosecution was handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The government had recommended a longer sentence of 151 months.
