The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has released an updated schedule for lane and ramp closures on Interstate 215 as part of its ongoing pavement preservation project. The work will cover nearly four miles between the I-15 interchange and Windmill Lane, including paving and bridge deck repairs.
From Sunday, August 24 to Thursday, August 28, nightly lane reductions will occur from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Eastbound I-215 will be reduced to two lanes from I-15 to Windmill Lane, while westbound I-215 will see similar restrictions from Windmill Lane to I-15.
Specific ramp closures are also planned. On Sunday night through Monday morning, the southbound Airport Connector on-ramp and Warm Springs Road on-ramp to eastbound I-215 will be closed. These closures will repeat Monday night through Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, the Warm Springs Road on-ramp to eastbound I-215 and the eastbound off-ramp to Windmill Lane will be closed. Wednesday night into Thursday morning will see closures at the Windmill Lane on-ramp to westbound I-215 and the westbound off-ramp to Warm Springs Road.
Further closures are scheduled for Thursday night into Friday morning, affecting various ramps including those at Warm Springs Road and the southbound Airport Connector.
No traffic restrictions are planned during the Labor Day holiday weekend from Saturday, August 30 to Monday, September 1.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution in work zones and consider alternate routes when possible. NDOT collaborates with Waze for public updates on highway restrictions. Weather or other factors may alter the schedule.
