There were 215,221 Hispanic students enrolled in Nevada schools in the 2023-24 school year, 0.7% more than the previous year, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

Data showed that Nevada welcomed a total of 479,578 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 44.9% of the total enrollment, to be the most represented ethnic group in the state.

Among the 721 schools in Nevada, Desert Pines High School recorded the largest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 2,360 students.

Enrollment in Nevada public schools has dropped nearly nearly 2% in the last four years.

Nevertheless, Nevada has roughly one teacher for every 21 students, well above the national average of one teacher for every 16 students. A higher student-to-teacher ratio has been found to negatively impact students’ school performance.
