City of Henderson recently issued the following announcement.

On December 26, 2021, at approximately 11p.m., the City of Henderson Police Department was called to Mission Hills Park located at 511 E. Mission Hills Drive in reference to park vandalism.  Specifically, multiple vehicles on the grass area “doing donuts” causing severe landscape damage.

The suspects were gone prior to officers’ arrival; however, a witness was able to obtain video footage of the incident, which depicted two vehicles (a silver sedan and a black sedan) causing the damage at that time.

Hours later, on December 27, 2021, at about 5:00a.m., police were again called to Mission Hills Park for additional vehicles vandalizing the park’s property by “doing donuts” in the grass.  The vehicles involved in this incident were a small white passenger vehicle and a pickup truck, observed by arriving officers.

The white passenger vehicle fled the scene and officers conducted a traffic stop on the pickup truck.

The pickup truck’s occupants were identified as a 17-year-old juvenile driver, and their passenger, 18-year-old Stephen Stonehocker.

Stonehocker was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Henderson Detention Center on the following charges:

1 count of Conspiracy to Commit a Crime
1 count Failure to Comply with Park Rules

His booking photo is attached.

The 17-year-old juvenile driver was issued a citation at the scene for the following offenses:

1 count Destruction of Property of Another
1 count Conspiracy to Commit a Crime

The juvenile was released at the scene to their parent without incident.

Henderson Police are asking for the public’s assistance for any information that may lead to the identity of additional suspects involved in both acts of vandalism.

Anyone with information in these cases (please refer to HPD DR’s #21-24050 and #21-24058) is urged to call the Henderson Police Department at 702-267-4911, 3-1-1, or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or visit Crime Stoppers website. Tips directly leading to a felony arrest or an indictment processed through Crime Stoppers may result in a cash reward.
