FOIA Request to University of Nevada Las Vegas regarding State University Employee Compensation Data, FY 2025 on November 4, 2025.

The Silver State Times has submitted a formal request for public records to the University of Nevada Las Vegas under the Nevada Open Records Act. The request seeks detailed information about employee compensation for all individuals employed by the university during Fiscal Year 2025. The media organization is seeking this data in an electronic format to facilitate their reporting efforts.

The requested records include various data fields such as employee name, gender (if recorded), age or year of birth (if not exempt), date of birth (if not exempt or limited to month/year), employer name, title or position, hire date, compensation amount (including base pay and any additional pay), compensation type (e.g., salary, hourly, stipend, bonus), and employment type (full-time or part-time).

As members of the media, we emphasize that access to these public records is crucial for holding public institutions accountable and ensuring transparency. We have also requested a fee waiver due to our role in disseminating information to the public.
