Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford has responded to a recent decision by the District Court of Massachusetts, which issued a nationwide injunction preventing an executive order from President Trump aimed at limiting birthright citizenship.

Attorney General Ford commented on the ruling, stating: “Today’s decision affirms the core values enshrined in our Constitution. Birthright citizenship is a fundamental right that has been recognized for generations, and attempts to undermine it are both unconstitutional and un-American. My office will continue to stand up for the rights of all Nevadans and Americans.”

The court’s action blocks enforcement of the executive order across the United States, maintaining current interpretations of citizenship under the Fourteenth Amendment.
