Las Vegas, Nev. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto toured Apex Industrial Park and discussed her efforts to attract new, industrial-scale companies to Las Vegas by making it easier to open new businesses there. The Senator toured new sites at Apex, which has over 7,000 acres of developable land and supports hundreds of jobs that were created in just the past year, including at the Air Liquide hydrogen plant, a new 885,000 square foot Smith’s distribution center opening this quarter, and a 1 million square foot Crocs distribution center set to open this fall. The Crocs center alone will create 650 jobs for Nevadans.
“Las Vegas is an ideal place to start a business, and I’ll continue working to support our entrepreneurs and working families as we work to grow our economy,” said Senator Cortez Masto. “From Air Liquide to Smith’s and Crocs, there are so many exciting companies opening their doors at Apex and creating good-paying jobs for Nevadans.”
