NORTH LAS VEGAS – On June 1, 2023, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) released the following statement celebrating the start of Pride. As a Member of the Congressional Equality Caucus, Horsford supports the Congressional Equality Caucus’ mission to promote equality for all people regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or sex characteristics.

“I want to wish a happy Pride Month to the LGBTQI+ community in my district, all over Nevada, and across the country. Pride is a wonderful time of year to celebrate LGBTQI+ people, history, and culture,” said Congressman Horsford. “This year, as the country celebrates Pride, I am resolved to fight against the cruel anti-equality legislation that we have seen across the states and even in the House of Representatives. I joined the Congressional Equality Caucus because I know that LGBTQI+ people deserve to live freely, safely and authentically and deserve full legal equality in the U.S. and around the world. As anti-equality extremists continue their misguided attacks on the community, especially transgender and gender non-conforming people, I will continue to fight on behalf of the LGBTQI+ Nevadans and all Americans, to enshrine equality into law.”
