Annalies Kalma set a new program record in the 400 meters on April 18 at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, California.
Kalma finished sixth overall in the event, clocking a time of 51.90 seconds and surpassing her previous school record by more than eight-tenths of a second. Her performance continues an impressive track season for her and the Nevada Wolf Pack women’s team.
In addition to her individual achievement, Kalma joined teammates Kylee Parsons, Malena Galvan, and Halyn Senegal in the 4×400 meter relay. The quartet finished with a time of 3:37.45.
The Wolf Pack also competed at the Bryan Clay Invitational, where Skylar Bennett ran a time of 4:46.70 in the Open C section of the women’s 1500 meters and Kylee Denver posted a time of 4:42.40 in Open A.
Kalma’s new mark further establishes her as one of Nevada’s top performers this season as she continues to lead both individually and as part of relay teams.
